We are really desperate for food donations for peo We are really desperate for food donations for people we are supporting who are rough sleeping.When guests visit the Garden House, we like to be able to offer them food while they’re with us. We also give people who are sleeping on the streets the option to take food away with them.We would be very grateful for donations of:
• pot noodles
• cup a soup
• crisps
• cereal
• long life milk
• fruit
• pasta pots
• cereal bars
• frozen meals
• biscuits
• chocolate barsAny donations can be dropped off at the Garden House between 10am - 4pm from Monday - Friday.We really appreciate your support!!
Gregor (pictured, left) has been in one of the acc Gregor (pictured, left) has been in one of the accommodation units we set up since March and doing really well.Dominic (pictured, right) has been working with him and the local council to get him help.The major setback he faced was that he didn't have a passport so Dominic and co have been working hard to get this sorted.Yesterday, Gregor received his passport!!This will now allow him to be registered on the system so he can finally be eligible for housing and employment.Great news! 🥳
Here's Chris Caulfield braving the rain on Friday Here's Chris Caulfield braving the rain on Friday night as part of our Big Sleep Out campaign.His sleeping bag and clothes got wet and he was by himself the majority of the night, but he got through it and in doing so has raised over £1,640 so far.Chris says, "In my role as Operations Manager at Business Watch Guarding Services we come across and deal with homeless people a lot. Yanish with our lovely project worker, Nicola.Y Yanish with our lovely project worker, Nicola.Yanish was living in a squat for three weeks until he sought help via Light Project Peterborough.Nicola helped Yanish secure a new job with Mick George, find accommodation and register with a GP.Yanish said: "I saw no way out until I came to The Garden House. They helped me so, so much and I'm very grateful to them!"

Yesterday, a few people from our User Voice Group Yesterday, a few people from our User Voice Group helped to build our brand new greenhouse!Set up to allow guests to have fun together, provide a sense of purpose, and cultivate their own fresh fruit and vegetables.Thanks to everyone who built it! Please look out for the teams in the city centre and in central park.We are here to gently listen, to offer support where we can and help with any prayer requests you might have.
Not being able to get a job meant Artus sadly foun Not being able to get a job meant Artus sadly found himself sleeping on the streets.However, last week, our fabulous Peer Support Worker, Tanja, took Artus to London to apply for a passport to allow him to work.He is now on the road to employment and said, "Thank you so much! I couldn't have done this without you. It means the world to me."We are committed to going above and beyond to help people move forward with their lives. Thank you to everyone who supports us in our mission. ❤
